Who We Are

Gold Star Made is rooted in my story as a Gold Star sister and the legacy of my brother, Dan, who was killed in Iraq in 2006. Losing him reshaped my world, and creating became my way of carrying his light forward — a quiet ritual that helped me rebuild, heal, and find meaning again. What began as a personal act of remembrance grew into a practice of resilience, reflection, and love.

But Gold Star Made is also shaped by another legacy: my mom’s. She taught me resilience, the importance of intention, and the belief that love can be poured into the smallest details. Her strength, creativity, and warmth live in every part of this brand. The way she showed up for others, the way she found beauty in ordinary moments, and the way she held our family together — all of that is woven into what I create. Gold Star Made carries her light just as it carries Dan’s.
